Well lui the difference is made because we are expresing our selves and slowly that strength to fight for your belives and rights is transmitted to others like we could se on the movie. Imagine our world with out all of those persons that decided to speak up for those who didn't wanted to. Freedom is a gift that is there but is your choice to use it (right) or just let it be. when you ask what is freedom i can only say that freedom is the right to express your self and be an individual among a hole population, that yes has some rules to follow but with in them he is still free to think, hope and let his imagination fly through the hole wild world. Then you ask do we have a choice i do think we have one, as it was one of the principles of our predecessors to let democracy rule, to allow us to decide and have free opinion, but thats the point once we are given that freedom, Do we really know how to control it? Do we really see our responsability? I think this is the hole point of the class if we are given freedom then used right, listen to both sides in the media, analyze the culture through different points of view and then make up your own idea and express it, but don't let the media control you, control your self.
giovanna...i haven't got your essay...after 12am...it's officially tomorrow..u got like an hour to send it over...5 point loss a day....on the freedom topic...i have no clue...sometimes i feel that i'm totally free....that i do things for myself, by myself...but maybe i'll say sumthing i've heard in a movie, or a hip hop song....like sumthin biggie or nas, or common sense has said...and i'll think of how impressionable i am, and that i'm very little original..i'm basically jsut a recollection of memories , experiences and senesorial reception....

FOX !!!!!! there is a choice..... take freedom as god or as devil, each one represent something differnet in many cultures, in this situation we have the point that the movie give us refering satan as freedom...... so in other words depending on your ideology of what is wrong or waht is good you can choose your own path, what it means freedom, waht is religion for u as a person and as a human being.... u choose
yeah...she's pretty amazing...i've been questioning myself and my religion/culture lots since sammy's doc and discussion today...maybe tomorrow i'll share with you guys the type of sect or religion i was involved in through hip hop...many ideas like the ones from the lead singer of gorgoroth...we'll talk...
Im totally agree with Julian´s comment.... we are the only ones that choose our own freedom they way we want to, politics and religion are just criticizing this way of being what they call as "Satanism" there just judging but if they have freedom why then tehy keep judging .... so there will be no difference because if is like this with freedom how it will be without no freedom...a completely chaos but people will still be what they want to be.
freedom doesnt exist in a complete way... we are always under some rules... if we where completely free, this world would be a caos. we always have the choice of being whatever we want, and we can do whatever we can imagine, the fact of having rules doesnt mean we cant brake them. but there is something inside us that make us take the right desicions, something that doesnt let us be completely free...is a very complex question lui.... and very long to answer.. but basicaly thats what i think
Agelita i do think that freedom does exist. the thing is that freedom comes from inside you when a person fells good re them self , there life situations and the way they take over live, then that person is FREE I also think that freedom depends of each person , when you let that people crush you or destroy your believes then you have not respect for your own freedom
are we given freedom...do we take freedom...does it exist in small, large doses...or is it a myth? you guys are making my brain focus on the concept of freedom...i always thought it meant to be able to run naked down the streets while listening to obnoxious music, loud enough to hear a few streets away!!! tho how would you have big ass speakers while running naked? weird...but quoting angie..."That's what i think"!!
