Are you ready for tomorrow's story? (Lang. B)

We begin reading a new story tomorrow. How have you liked noir fiction? Has it in any way influenced, negatively or positively, your attitude towards literature? Do you feel this could be a type of literature for you to read for the rest of your days? Why? Be well....

  1. I really liked "The Big Dance" so I guess that I'll like the next story as well... I think that in a way it has affected me because there are a lot of books that I've read that are part of the Hardboiled fiction and I didn't know....

  4. You're right man... And I just saw that I forgot to comment about if I'm willing to read this for THE REST OF MY ETERNITY!?!?!?!?!?!?
I really liked this genre, and I am going to continue reading some of this...
Big question, is there any chance that we could read "A Fable" by William Faulkner? I saw more or less what the plot was and it sounds really cool, though I don't think it's noir fiction...
    Be good...

  5. Well first of all I have to say that mystery cause that suspense feeling that make me and people feel the pression to read more. Anyway I always liked these type of hard-boiled fiction because of the theme; Criminality, detectives and maybe ...you know...sex content that will never be absent in this kind of fiction, i am not saying that i like it, And neither that I don't like it, just is like one of the bases of these type of noir mystery that has to be there always with all these kind of factors.

  6. Carlos is right... That PRESSURE that one feels when reading mystery stories... I just thought of something... Remember "The Tale-Tell Heart" by E.A. Poe? Maybe the word heart referrs also to the readers heart when reading this story

  10. Actually, well no, it has NOT influenced me in my life at all, i've continued to be a cute little saint as always (A) =) Haha, well loo, i really do like noir fiction, but its not just that but its the theme, mystery with all that comes with it...im not much into all that about learning, but i do like reading stories and novels with that genre because it keeps me entertained at all times, it wont get me bored (except if THE STORY is boring, but the mystery that is inside, wont)...I think I'm ready for 2morrow's story =D

  15. i agree with berni....let's stick to the issues of LANGUAGE B, berni...and talk about literature and how interesting it is...how it shapes our lives and entertainment...most of the tv shows and movies you watch were once novels, plays or short stories!!! and they must be written...so literature moves all types of visual and auditory entertainment!!! and i believe these stories, although highly entertaining...we will learn the techniques, the elements that make up good literature...i love the 9:13!..WHUT!?!?

  17. wowo the story was wonderfull but i hate the begining it was so normal = boring, i was speackting (or how it writes) more actions and like clues for foreshadowing or something like that, but the climax was pretty good i like it, until the end that was okay but i think the reader can expect more after the climax, a better ending, but is okay it makes the reader reflect and think about the purpose and everything but i like more ACTIONNN
